10 Food Pieces


French fries were originally created in Belgian during the 17th century. Once invented French fries became extremely popular in France, particularly Paris. French fries, otherwise known as chips, are thin strips of deep-fried potatoes. First the potatoes are skinned. Then the potatoes are cut in to strips and deep fried. French fries are often salted and mixed with vinegar to add flavor.
